Norway’s union-standard gold crown, identical in spec to its Swedish and Danish counterparts but far scarcer — the Kongsberg mint struck it only in select years (1874–75, 1876–78, 1883, 1886, 1902). The earliest issues carry both the new kroner and old speciedaler denominations, making them artifacts of the currency changeover itself. The “124 Stk 1 Kil. f. G.” reverse legend states the gold standard: 124 coins to the kilogram of fine gold.
